Wine Filler

Principle Of Operation
Filling principle especially designed for wines bottles:
  • Pure Gravity filler without vacuum
  • PERRIER patented bottle's neck handling system: positive transfer of the bottles, no more risk to chip off bottles, automatic handling and filling height adjustment
  • PERRIER filling valves:
    • fixed nozzles - easy to clean - without parts in movement
    • Ring bowl: ring bowl with restricted section without inner wall or crossing parts; constant filling product height for each filling valves
    • Wine circuit: filling wine feeding by the bottom and protection against oxygen pick-up
  • Structure of filling carousel: open design - easy to clean, minimum quantity of parts means minimum quantity of wear
  • Cleaning in place: complete on all fluid circuits, ensured full drains of fluid circuits and filling valves
  • Inerting: inert gas injection into the bottle just before filling. PERRIER technology prevents from oxygen pick-up sensitivity.
Design Considerations
The PERRIER neck-gripping process facilitates perfect nozzle-to-neck alignment even for containers with imperfect geometry (i.e. leaning neck). This utility, inherent to the design, ensures the nozzle does not come into contact with the finish of the bottle. The risk of chipped finish is therefore greatly reduced. The “No bottle – No Fill” feature is standard on each Filler.
Inherent Machine Quality
In addition to design considerations, the high quality for which our machines are famous is achieved by selecting the best materials for the application. We also use the most modern manufacturing methods available and make our parts to very close tolerances. Our employees have many years of experience building the equipment to high standards of performance and take personal pride in ensuring the integrity of the PERRIER brand.
Process Integrity
The art of making wine has been perfected over thousands of years. There is a lot of effort involved in the cultivation of grapes and converting them into the precious liquid we call wine. Bottling is the culmination of the work of love by many experts. The PERRIER equipment incorporates over 50 years of experience working with the finest wineries in the world to ensure the wine is treated with the respect and tenderness it deserves. Many patented features of our equipment ensure the final product is of the best quality possible.
Quick Change Considerations
Our machines are designed and built to support the most progressive Quick Change concepts. The PERRIER changeover process is a true Quick Change process (not just tool-less) and supports Vertical Start up Concept. Once the setup is optimised during the first production run on a given format, it can be exactly replicated during the next changeover.
Environmental Considerations
Our machines are designed to be very lean and use the least possible energy to accomplish the task. PERRIER rinsers are designed to recapture the liquid rinsing media, filter it and reuse it. The longevity of the machine also minimises waste by ensuring that the resources are used efficiently.
Safety
We take safety seriously and all our machines meet or exceed the safety requirements of the respective jurisdiction. In addition, PERRIER machines feature various safety provisions that might not be required by law, but are very effective in enhancing the safety of the operating crew. We also have experience in supplying machines for hazardous locations in diverse jurisdictions.
Life Cycle Support
We strive to provide the most reliable equipment in the industry, however, even our machines need to be serviced. We have a comprehensive programme in place to provide world class service support to our customers. We maintain impeccable records on each and every machine, maintain critical spares inventory and offer fast turn around on tooling. Our service department offers training programmes as well as installation and overhaul services. In addition we offer conversion and upgrade kits to ensure that PERRIER machines meet the changing needs of the customer.

Wine Filler

Principle Of Operation
The containers are fed into the machine via feedscrew and infeed star. As they enter the main turret the bottles are clamped by the neck. The grippers are made of a high performance polymer to ensure long life and no damage to glass containers. The machine inverts the bottles to the upside- down position, nozzles penetrate the neck of the container and the rinsing begins. The duration of the rinsing phase depends on the media. Where liquid media is used the rinsing time is shorter (liquid tends to be more effective) followed by the draining phase. At the end of the draining phase the bottle is inverted to the upright position and during this inversion the last drops of liquid are vacuumed out. Finally, the bottles are transferred to the discharge star and placed on the discharge conveyor.
